Art Director Production Samples:
I managed a variety of titles for k20 center, the following samples do not highlight my own art, but the combined work of our remote Art Team. The examples below should give visitors a birds eye view of the production pipeline, and the final in game quality. While striving for high visual quality k20 games must be extremely lean and performance friendly as the k20 titles are intended for mobile and web deployment.
The Advance U title is a culmination of several different concepts some of which you can see below. Both characters and environments are heavily stylized, Characters had strong emphasis on exaggerated silhouette, with simplified details and materials. Characters core facial features are 2d sprites that sit on top of the 3d mesh, the animation team built a library of male and female expressions that could be be used interchangeably across all characters, a specific animation can be called on to reflect a NPC's reaction to a players choice.

Our style for Bavaria title is hyper real, models silhouettes maintain real world proportions small tertiary details were omitted, A strong focus was put on dramatic lighting, with most scenes being dark with pockets of light, this was especially import as the player had constant full view of a level.
